Now, this is the kinda thing I set out to post. Elvis Costello and the Brodsky Quartet performing “Taking My Life In Your Hands”.
I’ve been listening to the Rhino 2-disc re-release of The Juliet Letters by Elvis Costello and the Brodsky Quartet (recently found after ditching most of my Elvis cds and vowing to replace them all w/ the far superior Rhino ones), and while looking for a video to post here, discovered this. I think the man mentioned this in the liner notes, so this is a treat! This is Bjork singing “Who Do You Think You Are?” live w/ the Brodsky Quartet.
I understand why the Johns didn’t do it, but Apollo 18, produced by Elvis Costello, would have been a dream come true for me.
In honor of the Elvis Costello and the Imposters show at the Ryman I’m going to tomorrow, here’s the moment I became a fan for life.
